Project Overview

Challenge

MiMenu App is a mobile app that filters and generates a collective food menu based on surrounding restaurants so you can choose where you would like to eat based on your food allergies, food intolerances and/or health and diet restrictions.

Objectives

  • Create a solution for a current problem

Problem: Persons with strict diet restrictions have a more difficult time finding a place to eat, especially in unfamiliar areas. It takes multiple calls, or visits to restaurants only to find out they cannot eat there.

Solution: MiMenu App helps make things easier. With a personalized profile, a user can input all diet restrictions, specify areas, or distant radius of restaurants, eg: 10 min drive from their location, and the app will automatically filter out restaurants who cannot accommodate, and generate a personalized food menu of several accommodating restaurants so the user can decide where to eat without ever traveling to the restaurant or having to call. You can also sync the app with friends and find a mutual restaurant to dine in.

  • Design the business logo and brand

  • Design illustrations that accompany the brand: In this case, food and dinner illustrations

  • Design MiMenu’s functionality / application’s UX design

  • Design an infographic and printed brochure. I decided to design the brochure like a smartphone, that unfolds into an infographic.
